ABOUT US

Apang  Manav  Mandal is a NGO founded in the year 1958 and is registered under the Bombay Public Trusts Act,1950 and Societies Registration Act,1960.

The Aims and object of Apang Manav mandal are to look –after education, vocation training, rehabilitation, resettlement,  advancement, amelioration, better health  and welfare of the handicapped persons. The mission of the trust is to promote total development of the handicapped persons in general. Mandal is in the immense service of Physically handicapped persons of all age and sex.

Mandal runs primary, secondary and higher secondary school recognized by the State Government. Mandal imparts profession training in sewing, embroidery,  fashion design, garment making, printing press, D.T.P., computer courses etc.Mandal runs separate hostel for disabled for boys And girls with a capacity of 200 in each hostel. Special classes for spoken English & personality development are run for them.

 

Over and Above Mandal runs pediatric Physiotherapy centre, speech therapy centre, spastic learning centre and day-care centre. More than 200 patients benefit by mandal daily.

Mandal runs two indoor and outdoor Physiotherapy Centres. Modern equipments for Physiotherapy and health are installed and patients are treated by qualified physiotherapist. Patients are given treatment with nominal charges. Moreover 300 boys and girls who were staying on campus are given treatment free of charge as per the advice by expert doctors.

Medical check-up camps are organized for our disabled students and free diagnostic camps are arranged every year in towns and villages. We check disabled children and physically challenged persons by expert doctors. We provide them wheel chairs, tricycles, Limbs, calipers, ground level devices, knee caps, sticks and other equipments and also make them able by orthopedic surgeries as recommended free of charge.
